Sigma has released a firmware update for its Mount Converter MC-11, as it expands the adapter’s compatibility for additional Sigma SA-mount and EOS-mount lenses for Sony E-mount cameras. The MC-11 is available as the MC-11 SA-E and MC-11 EF-E for Sigma SA and Canon EOS mounts, respectively, and the firmware update makes the MC-11 compatible with two of Sigma’s popular Art lenses—the 14mm F/1.8 DG HSM | Art and the 24-70mm F/2.8 DG OS HSM | Art.
The MC-11 EF-E is also compatible with the EF-mount versions of two lenses from Sigma’s FF High Speed Prime series—the Cine Lens 14mm T2 FF and 135mm T2 FF.
Additionally, Sigma has released new firmware for the 100-400mm F/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary tele-zoom. Sigma says the update brings improved autofocus performance to the lens.
Photographers can download the free firmware updates by visiting Sigma’s Download Page or via the Sigma USB Dock. The Mount Converter MC-11 can be updated via Sigma Optimization Pro by connection to a desktop or laptop via a USB cable.
