This valley is located along a river. When settled in the 1800's as farm land and cattle range, everything was fine until the rains came and the river overflowed. The houses and all else went down river. The settlers finally gave up on this valley and moved to the other side of the river. This cemetery is a reminder of the past and is very well cared for. Most here were killed in Indian fights as the markers tell.
