Photo Details
- Title: Bonnie Miller
- State/Province/Region: North Carolina
- Country: United States
- Nearest Area: Erwin, TN
- Nearest Town: Poplar, NC
- Description: The headstone of Bonnie Miller.
- Notes: This headstone marks the gravesite of Bonnie Miller, a resident of the now abandoned Lost Cove community. She was only sixteen years old when she died. Ironically her father, John Miller was responsible for making headstones for the deceased. Imagine how he must have felt when making this particular one.
- Brief Directions: Lost Cove is physically isolated. The cove lies at the edge of Mitchell County and Yancey County, North Carolina, and Unicoi County, Tennessee. There have never been real roads into the cove. It has been accessible only by a steep foot trail down Flat Top Mountain and in later years by the railroad that runs along the Nolichucky River.
