Photo Details
- Title: Mao Zedong
- State/Province/Region:
- Country: China
- Nearest Area: Beijing
- Nearest Town: Beijing
- Description: On the north side of Tian’anmen Square, the portrait of Chairman Mao casts his gaze over the millions of visitors that arrive each year. Having visited in the daytime back in 2009, it took another two years before I had the opportunity to shoot it after nightfall. The carefully planned lighting served to highlight the beautiful roof architecture, easily missed during the day.
