Photo Details
- Title: Woman Of Mlenghana
- State/Province/Region:
- Country: South Africa
- Nearest Area: Eastern Cape
- Nearest Town: Mthatha
- Description: This beautiful woman is the wife of the pastor of a small Baptist church in the village of Mlenghana. When we spent the weekend in this village in 2007, there was no running water, no plumbing. Electricity had come only six months before. Not an easy life by any means, but especially for a woman whose husband had been an officer in the South African military but now, feeling a greater call on his (and her) life, had come to this village to live and serve.
- Notes: Of course, our summer is their winter. We were there in the summer of 2007 -- their winter.
- Best Season: Summer
- Gear: Canon 5D
