Photo Details
- Title: Topsyturvey
- State/Province/Region:
- Country: Iceland
- Nearest Area: Glacier Lagoon
- Nearest Town: Glacier Bay, Iceland
- Description: Not very often, an iceberg with turn itself over, revealing an underside that has been compressed by waters, and carved by waves. That's what happened the day before I got to Glacier Bay, Iceland. The white iceberg, in contrast, is an older one, showing its melt and the earth that it's drag with it to the bay.
- Brief Directions: Try not to be over-excited, but Glacier Bay is so thrilling, one nearly forgets how to operate a camera! This image has a bit more noise that perhaps it should, but I was on a boat, shooting at 1250/seconds and f16 to be sure I had the image "frozen." (forgive the pun). That required an ISO of 2200.
- Best Season: Summer
- Gear: Nikon D800 with 70-200 lens at 190mm
