Photo Details
- Title: Pilot Frog?
- State/Province/Region: Colorado
- Country: United States
- Nearest Area: Denver Zoo
- Nearest Town: Denver
- Description: Do not worry! I assumed the frog was in mortal danger. However, the snake and the frog were simply crossing paths. I was told later that the snake instinctively knows that a brightly colored frog such as this one is poisonous and thus leaves it alone. The frog only remained on the snake for a few seconds before jumping down and safely hopping away. However, for a brief moment it looked like the frog was a hitchhiker or the snake’s traveling companion.
- Best Season: Spring
