Imitation is the sincerest form of survival! The miracle of adaptation shows clearly in the Dead Leaf Butterfly's imitation of the plant world from which it gets its name. The inside of the wing is bright orange and blue, and so rarely seen except early in the day when the butterfly spreads wide trying to soak up sufficient heat to let it get airborne.
