- Description: A walk about on the leash free beach in Ventura, CA with the Shadowland Foundation wolves. Here are Shadow, a cancer survivor, tutoring and playing with Takoda (means "friend to everyone" in Native American Souix). As tje alpha female, she raised Takoda from just 15 days old while she was recovering from radiation to shrink a soft tissue sarcoma the size of a grapefruit. Their relationship is life affirming.
