My great escape last year was my "trip of a lifetime" to Silver Salmon Creek Lodge, in Lake Clark National Park & Preserve. I photographed something like 27 different brown bears in the 3 days I was there. What a wonderful trip! This female was about 60 feet away from me with her yearling cub. She couldn't have cared less that I was nearby.
