- Description: The bands of colors are due to different fossilized soils over the eons. Springtime provides the Badlands with additional color with the prevalence of wild flowers.
- Brief Directions: From I-90, take Exit 110 at Wall and head south to the park. After the Pinnacles Entrance turn left on the Badlands Loop Road. Dillon pass is approximately 3 miles after the turn.
- Notes: I never expected the beauty of the area, probably because of the name.
- Best Season: Spring
- Gear: Olympus E510, Zoico 14-45 zoom lens
