- Description: The ancient city of Petra was built by hand at about 1500 B.C. This is the single biggest building carved out of sold rock. The dwellings go on for many miles into the desert wilderness. You park at a visitors center about one mile from this location. You can walk in or ride a two person small mule drawn buggy.
- Brief Directions: Hire a Jordan driver at the border with Israel or if you fly into Amman hire a driver from there. You are about 120 miles south of Amman.
- Notes: This is a real desert area. Dress accordingly with extra water. Be sure and bring a camera!!
