Description: Though most people come here to climb (you can see some climbers in the background), my definition of a "great escape" requires flying...or as close as I can get. I set up my tripod, found the right angle, then made my leap, while I fired the shutter remotely. The snow shoes do well to pull snow in the air, which lights up in the sun, and they provide the necessary surface area for the huge impact when I land. The snow on the ground acts as a perfect reflector to light me and the shadows up, despite shooting straight into the sun.
