Photo Details

  • Title: Storm Over Rockport Harbor
  • State/Province/Region (required): Maine
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Rockport
  • Description: Maine is a fantastic vacation spot and offers great photo opportunities year round. The best come, as with most landscape shots, when there is some unusual weather phenomenon. Rockport Harbor is a small and very picturesque harbor along the Maine Coast. This photograph was taken late in the day, and I didn't believe I had good quality light to make it worthwhile. However, the cloud cover did not extend to the horizon, which allowed me to take a shot that had some drama.
  • Brief Directions: Take Rt 1 in Maine towards Camden. Rockport is just before you get to Camden, follow the signs for the harbor.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Gear: Sony Alpha 700, 16-105mm lens, polarizer
