Please describe how you got this photo.
I have been going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina since I was little. Over the years I have taken many photos of the the Oregon Inlet Lifesaving Station. It is just across the Oregon Inlet Bridge and sits in a wilderness area surrounded by the sand dunes and beach grasses. The building was restored a few years ago but it currently is not open to visitors and there isn't even a real parking lot nearby. On this day it was overcast and I knelt down in the sand to frame the building between the little dunes and the grass. The sun was coming up over the ocean about a hundred yards behind me.

Did you use any special techniques?
When it came to processing I used Silver Effects Pro to convert the color image to B&W. I added a little darkness in the sky and a little light in the sand in the foreground.
