Description: I had just captured a shot of this gecko sunning on the front side of the leaves when he disappeared over the back, before poking out from behind the flowers to see if it was safe to come out again. I loved the contrast of the gecko's scales and blue eyes with the detail on the green leaf, and the white flowers.
Brief Directions: Waimea Valley on Oahu's North Shore is known for the beautiful native plants on display, but occasionally the wild life in the valley is equally fun to photograph, from ducks to peacocks and yes, even geckos.
