Photo Details

  • Title: Mystifying At Midnight
  • State/Province/Region (required): Florida
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Melbourne
  • Description: I moved clockwise and stayed in three different positions, creating this mysterious look.
  • Brief Directions: On a night with moonlight, set the camera on a tripod after focusing on the spot where you will be standing with about a 45 second exposure. Use the remote to shoot the picture. First face in one direction and stay for 15 seconds. Then turn 90 degrees and stay still for 15more seconds. The turn another 90 degrees, staying for 15 more seconds.
  • Notes: It takes a little practice to get this effect, but it was a lot of fun! Whatever shutter time your camera comes up with, divide by 3 to count how long to stay in each position.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Nikon D7000
