To be completely honest, I never, ever, want to be this close to a brown bear. This bear resides in a three-quarter acre habitat for orphaned bear cubs in a non-profit rescue center located in Sitka, Alaska called Fortress of the Bear. Like most mammals, bear cubs have an extremely difficult time surviving in the wild without their mothers. I should have made up a wild bear encounter story for this image, but decided to be true instead.
