Photo Details

  • Title: Auld Glory
  • State/Province/Region (required): New York
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: New York City
  • Description: Shot during a mass inexplicable fly around by the pigeons which usually just nest and sit on the cross pieces of the street lighting or the wires of a traffic signal.
  • Brief Directions: Come to NYC. 59th Street ( Central Park South ) and Avenue of the Americas, as a tourist would call it..... Sixth Avenue to us.
  • Notes: It is quite a shock to see dozens of pigeons wheeling in unison or doing a pattern as these are, sort of exploding sphere pattern. They seem to know what they are doing and are pre programmed to do it.
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Gear: Olympus Pen Mini EM1 and 9-18mm ultrawide lens
