Photo Details

  • Title: The Death Of A Water Balloon
  • State/Province/Region (required): Ohio
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Upper Arlington
  • Description: I have seen split-second photos like this before and always wanted to try it out. I put my camera on a tripod and set the intervalometer to take a picture with a fixed focus and exposure every second. This way I could time the breaking of the balloon better. Eventually I was able to get this photo.
  • Brief Directions: Use an intervalometer and set the camera to manual. This way you can keep the same exposure for every shot. Also this allows you to time the breakage.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Gear: Nikon D7000 with Nikkor 50mm AF f/1.8 D lens; Oben AC-1410 Tripod
