Photo Details

  • Title: Lightening Striking
  • State/Province/Region (required): Michigan
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Fostoria
  • Description: During a recent summer storm, I was out capturing lightening photos. As I pointed my camera to the north, a huge bolt of lightening lit the sky and it looked like it may have hit the house next to us. The sky was a dark gray, looking mean and nasty.
  • Brief Directions: Willits Road south of Fostoria, MI.
  • Notes: There were actually two storms on a collision course at this time. One to the north and one to the south. The lightening was flashing all around me and the wind was blowing about 30 mph. But the photo opportunities were too great to pass up.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Gear: Nikon D5100 w/Tamron 18-270 lens
