• Description: In many ways White Pocket in the South Coyote Buttes area are more interesting than the Wave. I was fortunate to arrive at the area during an early autumn storm. The clouds were very dramatic and there were several tanks with water standing in them. This was shot in the late afternoon. The color images was converted to B&W using Nik Silver Efex Pro.
• Brief Directions: From Page take Hwy. 89 west toward Kanab to dirt road 1065 and head south. There are several dirt roads that go east and many of them will lead to South Coyote Buttes. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary to navigate the sand dunes to get to the area. It is easy to get lost on these roads. I suggest a map from BLM or from Google Maps.

• Gear: Nikon D300s with 18-200 Nikkor VR lens
