Photo Details

  • Title: Sunset Over The Unnamed Lake
  • State/Province/Region (required): Colorado
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Rustic
  • Description: After I had backpacked deep into the Rawah Mountains of Colorado, a few co-workers and myself hung out around the campfire before the big day of counting bighorn sheep. While relaxing at our new home for the next few days, we noticed the sun's rays illuminating the tops of some nearby mountains. So, camera and tripod in hand, I waded out into the middle of the lake next to camp to capture a few shots. The water was crystal clear and the colors began to transform with the dwindling light. Even though I was getting rained on and slightly cold, the gorgeous surroundings were more than enough to take my mind off of it. For awhile at least.
  • Gear: Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40 f/4 L, Gitzo GT0531 Mountaineer 6X Tripod, RRS BH-30 LR Ballhead, Promaster C-PL, Lee 0.9 soft ND grad
