Photo Details

  • Title: Windmill Shadow
  • State/Province/Region (required): Texas
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Crosbyton
  • Description: This was one of those sights that as I passed it I had to look over my shoulder and do a double take. I was pretty sure as soon as I saw it that it would make an interesting shot. I thought the mornings shooting was already over. The really great light had already gone and we were headed somewhere else. We stopped and spent nearly an hour hanging around this old house.
  • Brief Directions: Northwest corner of Crosby County
  • Notes: The panhandle of Texas is not a premier destination for photography, yet I have found it to be a truly unique area with a special kind of quiet. people don't ask questions and the land stretches out before you like nowhere else.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Nikon D300-18-70mm Nikon Zoom Lens
