Photo Details

  • Title: Reflections
  • State/Province/Region (required): California
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Oakhurst
  • Description: I was at a party given by a friend of ours. While there I took a walk down a path they had to Lewis Creek. At the creek I decided stroll down the river. I came across this house and immediately fell in love with the reflections of the trees in the glass windows. I came back around noon 2 weeks later, with my converted IR camera, and took this picture.
  • Brief Directions: This is a house along Lewis Creek in Oakhurst, California.
  • Notes: Traditionally infrared shots are just that: red, which is captured in red, green, blue (RGB), but usually printed as a black and white. New technology allows me to swap the red and/or blue channels so that the IR shot can be printed in a limited color gamut. I have a property release from the owners of the house allowing me to publish this picture.
  • Best Season: Summer
  • Gear: Canon 20d converted to IR, Canon EF 28-135 IS USM lens
