Description: Ice Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Eagle Cap wilderness of Oregon. This photograph was taken as the last glimpse of alpenglow disappeared from the granite peak above the lake. It was late August, but the wildflowers were still in full bloom.
Brief Directions: The Eagle Cap wilderness is accessible through many trail-heads, but I like to access it through the trail-head at Wallowa Lake, Oregon.

Gear: Nikon D-90, 10-24mm nikkor lens, Velbon legs with gitzo ball head
