Description: Most photos taken at Mesa Arch show the sunrise "under" the arch! I took these standard shots also since it was my first trip here, but I wanted a different perspective so I waited until the sun was just peeking over the top of the arch making a sunburst effect. I took nearly 200 photos here and I liked this shot best of all!
Brief Directions: Take Hwy 191 north of Moab for 6 miles. Turn west on Hwy 313 to Canyonlands National Park.
Best Season: Spring
Gear: Canon XSI, Tamron 10-24mm wide angle lens, manfrotto tripod, polarizer, cable release
