Photo Details

  • Title: Old Country Church
  • State/Province/Region (required): Florida
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Merritt Island
  • Description: The scene of this old country church had a high dynamic range as the tower was in the sun light and the side facing me was in the shadows. I took three images of the scene with different exposure settings and combined them into an HDR image with Photomatix Pro. The resulting color image did not capture the mood I was looking for so I converted the shot into a black & white image with minor editing in Capture NX2 (ISO 200, 18mm, f/11, 1/640s, 1/160s, 1/40s).
  • Notes: ISO 200, 18mm, f/11, 1/640s, 1/160s, 1/40s. HDR processed in Photomatix Pro. Minor editing in Capture NX2: convert to B&W, sharpening, red mask on windows.
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Gear: Nikon D90, Nikkor AF-S 18-105mm 3.5-5.6G ED
