  • Description: On a daytrip to Widbey Island off the coast near Seattle, this scene appeared with cliffs and fog and a bridge and I had to yell to the driver (my son) to stop the car and we got out took pictures of the Widbey Island Bridge covered by the ever-changing fog of Deception Pass. The fall leaves provide a nice splash of color for this, mostly monochromic scene.
  • Brief Directions: From I-5 north of Seattle take State Route 20 east of Burlington, WA, to Deception Pass State Park on Widbey Island.
  • Notes: This picture was shot at about 40 mm equivalent (35mm) focal length on aperature priority mode at f/8 and 1/250 sec. No tripod, just a typical snapshot. The image was later enhanced on Photoshop Elements.
  • Best Season: Autumn
  • Gear: Sony DSC-F707
