Description: This image was captured just outside of Page, Arizona at Horseshoe Bend. I've seen hundreds of the standard shot, which faces the rock formation and the bending Colorado River 1000 feet below. I've posted this perspective on our website, and have since seen replications of this image. The subject in the photograph is fellow photographer Don Pollock, and he signed a model release.
Brief Directions: Take Rte 89 south out of Page, Arizona, less than a mile. Look for the sign marker for Horseshoe Bend. It is a comfortable short hike of perhaps 1/2 mile.
Notes: Bring a wide angle lens. Sunsets can be dramatic and have less harsh shadows.
