Description: This image occurs only twice a year, as the sun moves towards either the vernal or autumnal equinox in either March or September. The sun will set directly behind the St. Joe light only one night in the spring and another in the fall. The date at St. Joe is always August 22 or 23, in the late summer. All one can hope for is an attractive sunset. Or, just wait until next year!
Brief Directions: The lighthouse is on the north side of the St. Joe River, just east of downtown St. Joseph.
Best Season: Summer
