Photo Details
- Title: Young Duck Looking For It's Mother
- State/Province/Region (required): Texas
- Country (required): United States
- Nearest Town: Carrollton
- Description: It appeared a little hesitant to enter the water, almost looking afraid of it. For all I know it might have even been the first time unassisted.
- Brief Directions: This was captured at a Josey Lane & Peters Colony duck pond.
- Notes: Since this was captured several years ago the duck pond no longer seems the same. Around this same time people began to notice accumulation of trash and debris from over the years and the ducks and gesse were relocated. They started to dredge the ground and the pond had it's water removed killing most of the small animal life that made up the birds diet. Even though I had only been to this pond a few times, with this shot being my first visit, I knew some of the photos I took were rather uncommon and not too likely to come across again.
- Best Season: Summer
- Gear: Konica Minolta A200
