  • Description: This yellow jacket spent at least an hour on my husband and I's porch one afternoon. My husband pointed him out to me, noticing that the bee wasn't even taking notice as he was trying to swat it away from the porch. It was too busy to care that its life may be in danger. Smelling opportunity (sent from God, I am sure) I grabbed my camera while my wonderful husband moved the viola pot - which the bee was occupying - down to the base of our porch, this way I could sit on our steps and steady myself as I took my shots. This bee was so non-aggressive that he let me put my little camera right up in his face without so much as giving me a dirty look!
