Photo Details

  • Title: Wise Man Winter
  • State/Province/Region (required): Oregon
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Town: Coquille
  • Description: While walking the dogs with my husband, I stopped and stared at the scenery below the hill at the end of our driveway. It looked as if Jack Frost himself had come to our town to visit! Our husky-mix puppy was more than excited to go play in all that white snow, to say the least!
  • Brief Directions: From Bandon take Hwy 42S and you hit Coquille. For this exact spot, turn left off of Hwy 42S onto Hwy 42, heading north. About 7 miles out of town, you'll see a road to your left named North Bank Road. Turn there, then make your immediate left turn that you see. Now you've hit your destination! Take a walk down the tracks and have one great adventure!
  • Notes: These railroad tracks have been out-of-use for many, many years now, but you can never be too sure. The county has been working on them for a while now and they hope to have them up and running... eventually. So pay attention out there!
  • Best Season: Winter
  • Gear: Kodak Easy Share M381
