The color generally indicates social status, with solid white colors reserved for students and unamrried females. Sleeves, collar, and dress cut can vary from dress to dress. Lots of improvised equipment was used for this shot because of mixed lighting conditions. I used a warming filter cut from a plastic orange school report cover I found int he local market, and also used a long circular potato chip can for a snoot. THe shot took over 45 minutes to take, the alley is active to motorbike traffic and we had to keep moving the equipment and lightstands to allow them to pass.
