- Description: Hiking along the Chalan Kalabera in north central region of the island of Saipan, I crested a small hill which put me eye level to a palm tree. Sitting on a frond was a Collared Kingfisher with its back to me. I took out my camera and focused in and hope that it would turn its head for a profile shot. Just as it started to turn, two other Collared Kingfishers flew in and landed side by side facing me – as if they wanted to get in on the act. As soon as I clicked, all three flew off.
- Brief Directions: North central area on the Island of Saipan along the Chalan Kalabera.
