- Description: I was hired to shoot a funeral for a "reformed" south side gang member who had been killed, on top of it he was a friend of mine. The sadness of this shot was that he was not involved with the gangs anymore; he was a contributing person to our society and just was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This image that I too was the moment before they brought the casket to the podium and as I looked around I saw one of his friends just reflecting on the reality of the moment and I was so moved since I knew what he was thinking and I wanted to portray that in the image.
