Congratulations to GREG HAHNER, who takes the top prize in our third installment of the Perfect Portraits Photo Contest. In taking this self-portrait, Hahner accomplished two goals. The first was to try out his new lighting setup and the second was to create an image he could use for his music-related work. "I'd seen similar portraits done by other photographers and was inspired by the use of rim light to emphasize the silhouette of the subject," he explains. With a black collapsible backdrop behind him, his camera on a tripod in front and flash units all around, he fired away using a remote triggering system and a 10-second timer.
