- Description: Taken from a whale watch boat,the humpbacks and baby surfaced around the same time. I thought the foreground spray from the blowhole made an interesting contrast with the neighboring whale.
- Brief Directions: Approximately 3-5 miles off the coast of Santa Cruz.
- Notes: According to the naturalist,the whales were feeding on a tremendous amount of krill which happened to be unusually close to the surface of the water that day.
