• Description: Dex Tooke a local Del Rio ultra-cyclist over 60 years old was leaving to compete in the 2011 RAMM (3000 mile Race Across America non stop in 12 days). Very few have completed this race and even fewer over 60 years old and we were seeing him off. He was sharing an emotional moment with Twana and her daughter just before leaving when I captured this portrait. I supported his effort and he completed the race and crossed the finish line in Annapolis, Md. well before the required time. The year before he dropped out 300 miles from the finish but this year his unfinished business was completed in a success.
• Brief Directions: Del Rio is on the Texas Mexican border West of San Antonio. the RAMM begins in Oceanside, Calif and end in Annapolis, Md 3000 mile away in 12 days non stop.
