Photo Details

  • Title: The Mist On American Lake At Sunrise
  • State/Province/Region (required): Washington
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Area: Lakewood WA.
  • Nearest Town: Tacoma
  • Description: I love to photograph water reflections and scenic views at sunrise. This wonderful Turner type scene was taken on my way to work in Tacoma WA. The receding floating rope and the treeline draws a nice perpective to the light of the rising sun. Its just way cool. enjoy. Photo touched up with Photoshop.
  • Brief Directions: American lake is located in Pierce County Washington. Take the Gravely Lake exit and follow it to the American Lake Veterans hospital. Its open year round, and anyone can walk along its shore and view Mount Rainier in the distance.
  • Notes: I was using Nikons top of the line point and shoot Coolpix S8100. I just set the scene to sunrise/sunset and snapped this interesting bluish earie sunrise. touched up some in photoshop.
  • Best Season: Spring
  • Gear: Nikon Coolpix S8100
