A woman smoking locally grown Tobacco in the village of Liglig in Kalinga Province, The Philippines
Monday, 18 April 2011
Kalinga is one of the least developed and least accessable regions in The Philippines. I spent a few days hiking from village to village and had the opportunity to photograph some very interesting people. This is one example of a series of portraits I took in the province. The tattoos are common among the women who get them after puberty to attract men. The tobacco is locally grown.
