Rainy afternoons, sitting around watching movies, with nothing else to do; Alli and I decided to do something a little more exciting. A photoshoot in the rain. Grabbing the old ballerina shoes given to us by a friend, and a sequin shirt found at a thrift store; we dashed outside into the downpour. In the road right outside of my house with a trash bag over my upper body and camera, magic happened. Looking at the scene only through the tiny viewfinder of my camera everything was surreal. The hazy mist created by each cold rain droplet hitting the rough hot pavement and splashing back up. With each strong pose and expression she held, a story was coming to life. This photograph took First place and Best in Show in the Keiser University Art show; and a Blue Rossete in the St. Lucie County Fair.
