- Description: Great Egret in flight with a branch to build or repair it's nest. Great Egrets nest here in swamps of Louisiana from March to June. They take on a green patch just above their bill when mating adding a beautiful color to an already beautiful and graceful bird. Some of these birds stand two feet and taller when full grown.
- Brief Directions: Check for local tours south of New Orleans, La. There has also been a new walk built in the cypress swamp at Lake Martin located just south of Breaux Bridge,La. This lake is famous for it's nesting Egrets.
- Best Season: Spring
