After a 5 minute orientation on boating rules, off I went in a rented houseboat on Lake Powell. Due to the size of Lake Powell you could well imagine yourself on a small ocean instead of the man made lake it is. The voyage took us past every changing scenery including ancient tribal caves and wall drawings. There was also periodic wildlife to see including wild horses, larks and very unexpected bats zooming overhead when our boat was beached on shore for the night. Needless to say the skies were often dramatic as this sunset shot attests to. One of the best trips Ive taken and will forever remember.
