Photo Details

  • Title: Clarity
  • State/Province/Region (required): California
  • Country (required): United States
  • Description: This is a picture of my sister Sharon sitting in the dark, facing the only ray of light coming through a small opening in a second floor casemate in Fort Point, San Francisco, CA.
  • Notes: My sister & I were in Fort Point at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, CA. The fort was built to defend CA from the confederates during the civil war. The fort is a beautiful brick structure. It was early in the day and the fog was beginning to lift, with the sun attempting to peak through. The hallways were dark and my sister was cold, but she found a casemate where she could sit and bathe in the feeble ray of light streaming in from the small opening on the right. Although I didn't have a flashlight, I framed this image using my Live View function of my Nikon 300s because I liked the way the light was bathing my sister while the rest of the area was in darkness.
