- Description: We threw our blanket on the beach to wait for the sunset on this late summer day. It did not seem like much was going to happen, when suddenly the sky started to color up. We took pictures of Haystack Rock for at least another hour, well after the sun had set. This picture is one of my favorites from this day.
- Brief Directions: From Portland, OR go west on Hwy 26/Sunset Highway for about 97 miles to US-101. Turn south on US-101 and follow the signs a short distance to Cannon Beach. You cannot miss Haystack Rock from almost anyplace in Cannon Beach.
