- Title: Evening Thundercloud
- State/Province/Region (required): Oregon
- Country (required): United States
- Nearest Area: Rogue Valley, southern Oregon
- Nearest Town: Grants Pass
- Description: Early July is normally cloud-free in the Rogue Valley, but this sudden evening storm boiled up just a few miles southwest of my home. The storm was stationary, but the anvil head drifted overhead then off to the northeast in a beautiful display at dusk.
- Brief Directions: Grants Pass is at the intersection of the Redwood Highway (US 199) and I-5 in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon.
- Notes: Image stabilization and expanded sensitivity with lower noise has been a real boon to my photography. A few short years ago I would have been scrambling to get my tripod set up and the right film in the camera.
- Best Season: Summer
