  • Description: A Delta II rocket blasts off from its Complex 17 launchpad at Cape Canaveral,Florida.
  • Brief Directions: Take the 528 exit off of I95 in Florida. Pull to off to the side of the road right before the exit to the cruise ships at Port Canaveral.
  • Notes: There are parking areas under the bridges for fishermen; park as close to the highway as possible to make getting out easier. After a major launch, it is faster to head east into Cape Canaveral than to fight the traffic going west. Arrive at least 90 minutes early for a rocket launch; arrive at least two hours early for a shuttle launch.
