Photo Details

  • Title: Nubble Lighthouse Sunset
  • State/Province/Region (required): Maine
  • Country (required): United States
  • Nearest Area: York Beach
  • Nearest Town: Cape Neddick
  • Description: This sunset photograph of the Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick, Maine was captured in early May. A storm had just moved out to see and the sun was breaking through the clouds so I ran home, grabbed my gear, and headed to the lighthouse. I got set up just as the setting sun light up the island. The image was captured with 3 bracketed exposures and then merged together as a high-dynamic range image. This allowed me to expose for the foreground rocky landscape, the sun kissed lighthouse and the dramatic sky.
